Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting

Hydrogen is a clean chemical fuel that does not generate carbon during the energy conversion process. Our research group proposes an approach to develop a solar-hydrogen production system by utilizing abundant water together with sunlight, which is an infinite renewable energy source. Our group has diverse research experiences ranging from photoelectrochemistry through materials synthesis to the catalyst analyses. Our main interest is directed on the high-performance solar-hydrogen production system, which allows us take a leap toward a green-hydrogen based society.
